Punjabi stage actress, Kismat Baig who shot injured in Lahore on Wednesday night, has succumbed to her injuries today and died.
According to details, the assailants opened fire at actress Kismat Baig at Lahore’s Harbanspura area, as she was returning home from work along her secretary, injuring the local celebrity and her secretary. She sustained four bullet injuries to her lower part.
Both the injured were after getting hurt shifted to Services Hospital of the city for medical treatment.
Security guard of the actress said the assailants robbed them, while on resistance they opened fire.
On the other hand, family sources of the victim said it was not an incident of robbery, but it would be target killing as she had survived two attacks before this.
Police said that the investigation of the incident was underway adding that the culprits behind the attack would be apprehended soon.
While officials said no complaint had been received for registration of the First Information Report (FIR).
