Sri Lankan Minister of Plantation Mahinda Samarasinghe said that the Resolution against Sri Lanka before the HR Council focuses on distancing of religious communities of the island from one another.“This is not merely political in its motivation but could also hamper and undermine the national reconciliation under way at present. The invidious motivations of the proponents of the resolution to achieve political ends through this Resolution are clear”. The minister made these remarks while participating at a meeting to enlighten the member countries of the Organization of Islamic cooperation yesterday.
