The Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has accepted the resignation of former president of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), Makhdoom Javed Hashmi.
Hashmi formally gave his resignation after an emotional speech to the joint session of assemblies. The Speaker forwarded the resignation to the Election Commission of Pakistan(ECP), which will issue a formal notification in this regard.
