Wana Ulasi Pasoon organized a protest march in Wana’s Rustam Bazaar against the deteriorating law and order in South Waziristan.
Workers from the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Awami National Party (ANP), National Democratic Movement (NDM), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM), and Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP) protested.
Civil society groups, attorneys, traders, and the public joined the march.
Rally participants, carrying banners and posters, criticized escalating subversion and asked the government to preserve peace and order in the province, especially in integrated tribal regions.
Protesters chanted slogans against rising militancy and asked authorities to improve law and order in South Waziristan.
Speakers stated the state must safeguard civilians. They said that insecurity was caused by inadequate law and order and growing militancy.
Wana Ulasi Pasoon leaders urged the authorities to arrest wanted people. In addition, protesters requested that the government set up more checkpoints and patrol lawlessness.
They stated authorities should act against lawbreakers and limit drug dealing, target killing, ransom kidnapping, and extortion.
