The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the schedule for South Africa’s all-format tour, starting October 12, 2025. The series kicks off Pakistan’s ICC World Test Championship 2025-27 cycle with two Test matches against the 2023-25 champions, South Africa.
- Tests:
- October 12–16: First Test at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
- October 20–24: Second Test at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
- T20Is:
- October 28: First T20I at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
- October 31: Second T20I at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
- November 1: Third T20I at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
- ODIs:
- November 4–8: Three ODIs at Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad.
This is South Africa’s first Test tour to Pakistan since January 2021, when Pakistan won 2-0.

The ODI series is a milestone, as Faisalabad’s Iqbal Stadium hosts international cricket for the first time since April 2008, when Pakistan beat Bangladesh. PCB Chief Operating Officer Syed Sumair Ahmed said, “We’re thrilled to welcome South Africa. Bringing ODI cricket back to Faisalabad after 17 years is special.”
