According to Bloomberg, Saturn’s combination of social interaction and practical planning aligns well with Snap’s objective to encourage real-world connections among Gen Z. This acquisition comes after Snap’s investments in augmented reality and messaging, which enhance its competitive advantage against platforms like TikTok. Saturn successfully raised $44 million in a funding round in 2021, supported by General Catalyst and notable investors such as Jeff Bezos, highlighting its significant value.
