Having lost his patience over the unabated alleged extrajudicial murders and enforced disappearances of workers, Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) London-based leader today demanded of the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistan Army’s media wing, to declare his party. a proscribed organisation.

“A ban might at least help bring these savageries against our workers to a halt as the MQM just cannot take revenge from the establishment (an allusion for the military),” Altaf Hussain (fondly referred to as “Bhai” by his workers) while addressing his workers at party headquarters Nine Zero.

During his fire breathing address, an outraged Hussain asked the ISPR to notify the banning order without talking around it.

“I dare to hope that after banning the MQM its activists will stop disappearing and dying,” he said adding, “Our workers are taken away and then their dead bodies are thrown by the way. Time and again, we are accused of crimes we have never perpetrated. I want to know what did we do to deserve this. ”

He said that everybody was aware of the fact that his uncle and nephew were picked up by the Rangers and police.

“At whose door should we knock if the courts of law are not able to serve the justice?”  Bhai thundered.
