Bollywood’s renowned perfectionist, Aamir Khan, is poised to captivate audiences once again with the sequel to his acclaimed film Taare Zameen Par. The eagerly anticipated follow-up, Sitaare Zameen Par, marks his grand return to cinema this Christmas, following a two-year hiatus since his last movie, Laal Singh Chaddha.
Reports from Indian media indicate that “Sitaare Zameen Par” is the official Hindi remake of the 2018 Spanish film Campeones (“Champions”). Directed by R.S. Prasanna, the film features pivotal roles for Aamir Khan, Genelia D’Souza, and Darsheel Safary.
The narrative of “Sitaare Zameen Par” addresses the profound issue of Down syndrome, echoing its predecessor, which dealt with dyslexia. In “Taare Zameen Par,” Aamir Khan portrayed Ram Shankar Nikumbh, an art teacher who assists his student in overcoming dyslexia and realizing his potential.
Darsheel Safary, who played Ishaan, will also assume a significant role in the sequel, continuing to explore impactful themes through powerful storytelling.
