The Sindh Police has initiated plans to implement a comprehensive faceless e-ticketing system across the province. IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon supervised a review meeting in Karachi. Officials outlined a phased rollout there, beginning with seven selected districts.
The first-phase districts include Thatta, Khairpur, Benazirabad, Mirpurkhas, Tando Muhammad Khan, and Larkana. This expansion follows a successful pilot of the e-ticketing system under the S-4 project in Hyderabad. Cameras there already automatically identify license plates and traffic violations.
IG Ghulam Nabi Memon emphasised the critical need for public awareness campaigns before the system is activated. His department will educate citizens on traffic rules, the e-ticketing process, and specific violations, such as riding without a helmet.

He directed all relevant stakeholders, media, and district administrations to collaborate. This cooperation should ensure smooth implementation. The meeting included Additional IGs, DIGs, the DG Safe City, and PDIT representatives. These officials provided detailed briefings on the technical progress.
All divisional DIGs have submitted reports on camera enforcement and the TRACS (Traffic Rule Automated Control System). IG Memon directed officials to appoint well-trained and courteous staff at already-established facilitation centres. These staff members will undergo specific training in the coming days.

The camera infrastructure in the seven initial districts is already operational and detecting violations. Planners will upgrade the remaining districts in the next phase. All DIGs have instructions to conduct public awareness campaigns before enforcement begins.
