The Sindh government has banned private school management from charging June and July fees to students preparing for matric exams this year.
Rafia Javed, Additional Director of Private Schools in Karachi, announced on the ARY News program ‘Bakhabr Sawera’ that some private schools had been demanding these fees from matric students. She clarified that the government prohibits collecting fees for June and July from these students, who need only pay fees up until April 2025.
Javed also warned that private schools violating this directive would face repercussions. However, students from primary to ninth grade are still required to pay their June and July fees, with payment vouchers issued in April and May 2025, due by the end of July 2025.
