Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah led a ceremony in Karachi where he signed two important agreements. The first agreement expands the Peoples IT Program (PITP), and the second starts the Google Digital Journalism Scholarship initiative. Both aim to help people develop skills and support better media in Pakistan.
Chief Minister Shah praised the PITP for training thousands of students in modern IT skills. More than 4,300 graduates are now helping Pakistan’s economy. The program is known for including women and students from rural areas, giving equal chances to everyone.
For PITP-II, Shah announced a budget of Rs1.4 billion to train 35,000 students in 12 new technologies. Leading universities like NED, Mehran, and Sukkur IBA will provide the training. It will be open to students from high school to university levels.

The Google Digital Journalism 2.0 program is a partnership with Tech Valley. It will give 1,000 scholarships to journalists, government spokespersons, and media students. Shah said this is a big step for trustworthy journalism and for promoting openness.
Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon said this program will help fight fake news and encourage honest media work. It will help build trust in journalism.
These projects aim to give young Pakistanis new skills and support honest journalism. By investing in IT and media, Sindh hopes to build a stronger and smarter society.
