The Sindh provincial government declared a public holiday for September 1 (Friday) to commemorate the Urs of the revered saint, Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai. A notification from the provincial caretaker government confirmed that all educational institutions, offices, and affiliated entities under the Sindh government’s jurisdiction, barring essential services, will be closed on Friday.
The annual Urs of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai takes place in Bhit Shah on the 14th of the Islamic month of Safar.
