Shoriful Islam Peshawar Zalmi signing has added fresh pace and strength to the squad ahead of PSL 11, with the Bangladesh left-arm fast bowler set to feature in the Pakistan Super League for the first time. PSL 11 is scheduled to run from March 26 to May 3, 2026, across six venues, according to the Pakistan Cricket Board.
Peshawar Zalmi announced the direct signing through its official channels, presenting Shoriful in the franchise’s colours as part of its buildup to the new season. The move comes as Zalmi continue to reshape their squad for the expanded eight-team edition of the tournament.
Shoriful Islam brings international and franchise experience to Peshawar Zalmi. Since his Bangladesh debut in 2021, he has become a regular across formats and built a strong record in T20 cricket.
The left-arm pacer has played 156 T20 matches and taken 195 wickets. He is also among the leading wicket-takers in Bangladesh Premier League history, underlining his value as a proven short-format bowler.
The Shoriful Islam Peshawar Zalmi move gives the 2017 champions another left-arm pace option ahead of a demanding PSL 11 campaign. His ability to swing the ball and bowl in key phases can add balance to the bowling unit.
Zalmi has also made other direct signings as it prepares for the new season. Their PSL 11 squad includes Babar Azam, Mohammad Haris, James Vince, Michael Bracewell, Kusal Mendis, Nahid Rana, Shahnawaz Dahani, and Shoriful Islam.
According to the official tournament schedule, Peshawar Zalmi will start their PSL 11 campaign on March 28 against Rawalpindi Pindiz at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar.
The arrival of Shoriful Islam adds depth to Zalmi before the season begins. With PSL 11 expanding to eight teams, squad balance and bowling variety could play a major role in the title race.
