The honeymoon phase for an Indonesian couple ended abruptly when the husband, AK, discovered his wife was a man.
People often hide minor details from their partners, like spending habits or secretly watching a TV series alone.
Rarely the secret involves assuming a false identity. Just 12 days post-wedding, the truth surfaced about AK’s 26-year-old spouse, Adinda Kanza. The couple had dated for a year after meeting online.
Suspicions arose during their honeymoon when Adinda avoided intimacy and communication with others, including AK’s family. Shortly after, AK confirmed that Adinda was male.
With his family’s support, AK reported the situation to the police, sparking an investigation. Police noted Adinda’s feminine behaviour and appearance in wedding photos.
According to police, Adinda, dressed in a red gown and makeup, appeared convincingly female in pictures. Police were puzzled by Adinda’s motives but discovered he intended to steal from AK’s family.
Following Adinda’s arrest, his identity was confirmed by his long-lost father. Now facing fraud charges, Adinda could be imprisoned for up to four years.
