Shoaib Akhtar, Pakistan’s former fast bowler, announced the arrival of his third child, a daughter. He shared the joyous news on Instagram, stating, “Mikaeel & Mujaddid now have a baby sister.
In a Twitter and Instagram post, We’re blessed with a daughter by Allah Ta’ala.” Naming her Nooreh Ali Akhtar, he revealed she was born during Jumma prayers on the 19th of Shaban, 1445 AH. Akhtar expressed his gratitude, seeking prayers with, “Aap sab ki duaon ka talab gaar.”
Married to Rubab Khan since June 25, 2014, the couple has three children. Their family grew with Mohammad Mikaeel Ali’s birth in November 2016, followed by a second son on July 14, 2019.
Akhtar, celebrated as one of cricket’s finest bowlers, still holds the fastest delivery record at 161.3km/h. His illustrious career includes playing 46 Test matches for Pakistan, taking 178 wickets and 163 ODIs, where he claimed 247 wickets. However, his T20I appearances were limited to 15, capturing 19 wickets.
Despite his legendary status, injuries frequently sidelined him, notably missing the 2007 World Cup, leading to Pakistan’s early exit. Akhtar concluded his international career after the 2011 World Cup, playing only in group matches.
