The Chief of Awami Muslim League, Sheikh Rasheed has requested Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to step down if he wanted to safeguard democracy.
Speaking to media persons in Islamabad earlier today, Sheikh Rasheed said, “I have conveyed my message to Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should resign if he wants to save the parliament and democracy.”
He said National Assembly represents 200 million people of Pakistan and not just those whose names appeared in the Panama Papers.
“We will listen the speech of Prime Minister in the National Assembly if he also listen us. Imran Khan will also address the NA today,” he said.
Rasheed claimed over 40-50 Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz lawmakers are ready to form a forward bloc.
