“Bloody Daddy” is an official remake of the 2011 French film Nuit Blanche. Under the direction of Ali Abbas Zafar, Shahid portrays a suave yet ruthless character who effortlessly defeats adversaries with a knife in hand.
The trailer also includes glimpses of Sanjay Kapoor, who appears bewildered by the intense combat scenes, and appearances by Ronit Roy, Rajeev Khandelwal, and Diana Penty. Times of India describes Bloody Daddy as a “stylized, non-stop action thrill ride” encompassing the mafia, narcotics, law enforcement, family, and copious amounts of blood.
During a recent event, Shahid, who assumes the lead role, told reporters that he relished performing action sequences onscreen and had a fantastic experience collaborating with Ali. In addition, he mentioned that his background in dancing aided him in grasping action choreography more effectively.
Shahid, 42, expressed his enthusiasm for the action film, stating, “It was a blast. I really enjoyed working with Ali, who has a great grasp of the genre. The challenge is figuring out how to adapt such a large-scale production for the big screen after its OTT release.” He credited his dancing experience, which began at age 15, for his ability to memorize choreography quickly.
The actor also discussed the production’s difficulties due to the Covid pandemic, such as issues with visas for the action directors from London and Hollywood, who were accustomed to extensive rehearsals. However, Shahid’s dancing background enabled him to learn the action sequences quickly.
Shahid remarked that performing action scenes can result in significant weight loss, making it challenging. However, he admired fellow actor Tiger Shroff’s ability to maintain his physique in similar circumstances.
Following his recent role as a con artist in the Amazon Prime series Farzi, Shahid Kapoor’s upcoming film Bloody Daddy is set for an OTT release. However, the actor remains uncertain about how to adapt the film to cinema screens.
