Pakistani boxer Shaheer Afridi clinched the Asian championship in the professional middleweight category by defeating Indian boxer Ronit Solanki in a compelling bout in Thailand.

The match highlighted the fierce rivalry between Pakistan and India, and Afridi dominated and secured victory in the third round through a decisive knockout.

The contest began with a high-energy first round where both competitors aggressively exchanged blows. Afridi took control in the second round, demonstrating superior defensive skills and strategic counterattacks. The climax arrived in the last minute of the third round when Afridi landed a decisive punch that nearly floored Solanki, confirming his dominance.

The referee concluded the fight as a knockout, crowning Afridi as the victor. This win not only awarded Afridi the prestigious Asian title but also placed him among a select group of Pakistani boxers who have secured three Asian titles, having previously won the ABF and WBC Asia Cup championships.

Afridi’s triumph marks a significant milestone in his career and adds a notable chapter to the history of Pakistani boxing.
