Shaheen Afridi has entered the elite ranks of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) by becoming the third bowler to secure 100 wickets. The Lahore Qalandars captain achieved this milestone by dismissing Naseem Shah during a match against Islamabad United at the Pindi Cricket Stadium.

Wahab Riaz is the first to reach 100 PSL wickets, currently holding 113. Hasan Ali follows with 107, claiming his 100th against Alex Hales of Islamabad United. Shadab Khan, with 87 wickets, and Faheem Ashraf, with 73, round out the top five.

Despite a 17-run victory over Islamabad United, Lahore Qalandars remain at the bottom of the points table. The Qalandars set a target of 163, with Islamabad facing early setbacks including Afridi’s dismissal of Hales. Agha Salman, Shadab Khan, Colin Munro, Imad Wasim, and Jordan Cox faced quick dismissals, leaving Islamabad struggling.

Azam Khan and Faheem Ashraf initiated a recovery, with Ashraf not out at 41. Afridi’s dismissal of Naseem Shah for his 100th PSL wicket was a highlight. Zaman Khan also impressed with 4/37, supporting Afridi’s 2/32 to secure Lahore’s win.

Lahore Qalandars posted 163, led by Rassie van der Dussen’s 64 and David Wiese’s 24 not out. Rumman Raees was notable for Islamabad with 2/19, with additional wickets from Naseem Shah, Hunain Shah, Imad Wasim, Faheem Ashraf, and Shadab Khan.
