The Season 2 finale shocked Severance fans, who are now curious about what will happen next.
Although Apple TV+ has not officially confirmed a Season 3, “Severance” is their top show, surpassing even “Ted Lasso.” With 3 billion streaming minutes, the anticipation for a potential Season 3 is overwhelming.
Ben Stiller is speaking on the New Heights podcast, where he discussed his work as a director and producer. He mentioned, “We’re working on season 3,” and expressed hope that there won’t be another three-year wait. He added, “News is coming soon,” teasing further developments.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, an active writers’ room is currently in progress in Los Angeles, indicating that developments are moving swiftly.
Ben Stiller says it will “definitely not” take another 3 years for ‘SEVERANCE’ Season 3.

Creator Dan Erickson also shared some insights with Decider. He hinted, “Expect office drama, some existential themes, laughs, and creepy elements.” Season 2 ended with many cliffhangers, leaving plenty of loose ends that suggest an exciting Season 3. Fans are eager to dive back into the story.
The release date is still to be determined. Stiller attributed previous delays to strikes, stating, “Season 2 took 186 days to shoot,” and noted that editing also prolonged the process. However, the audience remained patient. The current goal is clear: to avoid a significant gap between seasons. Hopefully, the wait for Season 3 of Severance will be shorter fingers crossed.
