In Karachi, Sindh, a settlement has been reached in a car accident case involving Natasha Danish, who was accused of causing the deaths of Imran Arif and Aamna Arif. The heirs of the deceased submitted an affidavit to the court, stating that the settlement was reached voluntarily and by divine will.
Subsequently, the court granted Natasha and her husband bail against a bond of 100,000 rupees and reserved judgment in a related drug case.
However, the bail approval has faced legal challenges. Sheikh Saqib Advocate has filed a petition in the Sindh High Court against Natasha Danish’s bail, involving the Home Department Sindh and the Ministry of Law, among other respondents. The petition urges that charges in both the driving and drug cases be escalated from unintentional to premeditated murder.

Justice Nematullah Phulpoto of the Sindh High Court has called for arguments on the petition’s maintainability. Meanwhile, the court has postponed the hearing on Natasha Danish’s bail challenge for four weeks. Following the bail approval, Natasha’s lawyer confirmed her legal freedom to travel abroad.
This legal development follows the events of August 21, 2024, when Natasha Danish was remanded to jail in connection with the fatal incident. A special team was also assembled on August 23 to investigate further the accident, wherein CCTV footage showed Natasha initially colliding with a white Corolla car and a motorcycle before tragically hitting the father and daughter on the motorcycle with her SUV.
