Security forces foiled a major terrorist attack and killed all four suicide bombers in exchange of fire after the militants launched attack in Warsak Dam Colony of Peshawar.
According to a statement issued by Inter Services Public Relations, at least four suicide bombers with arms and ammunition entered Christian Colony Warsak after hitting a security guard at 5:50 AM today.
Security forces promptly responded and killed all the four suicide bombers.
Two FC soldiers, a police constable, two civil guards, one levies official and one civilian were injured in exchange of fire with the terrorists.
The statement added house-to-house search is in progress and situation is under control.
Emergency has been declared at Lady Reading Hospital and other hospitals. Residents of the area have been asked to stay inside their homes.
The ISPR added operation against terrorists in Warsak has concluded.
Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has appreciated Army, Frontier Corps and Police for prompt and effective response and defeating the terrorists’ attempt.
