Despite the high level of security, a suspicious individual entered Islamabad’s Prime Minister’s House.
The person had managed to remain inside the heavily guarded premises for three days, using different routes to avoid detection.
The security breach has raised serious questions about the protection measures for the Prime Minister’s House, which is within the federal capital’s red zone area.
Following the incident, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) apprehended the suspect and transferred him to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
The primary focus of the inquiry is to determine how the individual could bypass the high-level security protocols around the Prime Minister’s House.
Sources reveal that the suspect claims to be from Afghanistan, which adds another layer of concern to the ongoing investigation. As a result, authorities are conducting a medical examination to better understand the suspect’s motives and mental state.
The spokesperson for Islamabad police confirmed the suspect’s detention from the Pak Secretariat, which is adjacent to the Prime Minister’s House, and highlighted that the individual could not provide any identification.
