Sean “Diddy” Combs has a scheduled release date from prison. According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), the rapper and music mogul is set to be released on May 8, 2028.
The information is listed on the artist’s official file on the BOP website. Combs was sentenced in early October after being found guilty on federal charges.
A judge sentenced Combs to 50 months in prison. This is equivalent to approximately four years and two months. The charges were related to two federal counts of transportation for prostitution. He was also fined $500,000 and given five years of supervised release.

Combs has been in custody since his arrest in September 2024. He is currently held at the Metropolitan Detention Centre in Brooklyn. Combs’s legal team has announced their intention to appeal the sentence. The appeal will challenge the ruling made by Judge Arun Subramanian.
