Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs released an apology video after a 2016 assault video on Cassie Ventura surfaced. Recently, he settled a lawsuit with Ventura.

A video from CNN shows Combs assaulting Ventura in 2016 at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles.

On Instagram, Combs acknowledged his actions in the video, expressing deep regret and detailing his efforts to seek professional help and therapy.

The 2016 surveillance footage reveals Combs, in a towel, following Ventura into a hotel hallway, grabbing her neck, throwing her down, and kicking her.

In a relationship with Combs from 2007 to 2018, Ventura settled a lawsuit against him last November.

Douglas H. Wigdor, Ventura’s lawyer, stated the video confirmed Combs’ disturbing actions and praised Ventura’s bravery.

#Diddy says he was ‘disgusted’ by his violence against Cassie at the time and ‘takes full responsibly for his actions’. Oh, really? Shutting down accusations of abuse + bribing the hotel $50K for the tape says otherwise. Power is slipping and we believe victims who come forward. pic.twitter.com/WYPubb3ea7

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office have recognized the video but noted the incident is beyond the prosecutable timeframe.

Despite denying Ventura’s abuse claims previously, Combs settled the lawsuit, which his lawyer, Ben Brafman, stated was not an admission of guilt but a mutual agreement.
