Scotland Yard confirmed receiving calls from Pakistan demanding action from the Metropolitan Police department against the Chief of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in London.
The London Metropolitan Police also told local news channel ‘Geo News’ that an investigation over alleged hate speech by MQM chief Altaf Hussain was still underway.
“We can confirm that hate speech inquiry into Altaf Husssain is still continuing. We are making inquiries into whether any laws were broken,” the Scotland Yard said in a short response.

Responding to a query of local news channel ‘ GEO News a spokesperson for Britain’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office said “UK laws on incitement of hatred or violence are clear. The police are responsible for the investigation of any allegation of criminal acts,”
“Anyone with any evidence of criminal acts taking place or being planned in the UK should pass that information to the appropriate UK police force. The police take all allegations of crime extremely seriously and will respond appropriately to concerns raised with them,” said the FCO spokeswoman. (PhotoNews / The News)
