Cricket Scotland on Monday named a 15-member squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup after replacing Bangladesh in the tournament. The global event will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.
Experienced top-order batter Richie Berrington will captain the European side in the 20-team competition. The squad includes 11 players who featured in the previous T20 World Cup, held in the West Indies and the United States in 2024.
Tom Bruce, Finlay McCreath, and Oliver Davidson are set to play their first T20 World Cup. Afghanistan-born fast bowler Zainullah Ihsan has earned his maiden call-up shortly after qualifying to represent Scotland.
Cricket Scotland also announced two travelling and three non-travelling reserves. Officials said final participation depends on visa approvals, given Scotland’s late inclusion in the tournament.

Scotland replaced Bangladesh after the Bangladesh Cricket Board requested a venue shift from India to Sri Lanka. Following talks, the International Cricket Council rejected the request, citing the absence of any credible security threat and confirmed Scotland’s inclusion in Group C.
