The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Wednesday constituted a larger bench to hear the former president Pervez Musharraf case regarding his name in the Exit Control List (ECL).
The larger bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Nasirul Mulk will conduct the hearing into the case on October 1.
The Sindh High Court had ordered striking off Musharraf’s name from the ECL. The incumbent PML-N government had filed appeal in the SC against the SHC decision in this regard.
In its petition, the government contended that the SHC surpassed its authority and requested the apex court to declare the decision null and void.
