In a notable incident during preparations for the crucial Test series against Australia, Pakistan cricketers Saud Shakeel and wicketkeeper Sarfaraz Ahmed were involved in a heated exchange.
The incident was captured on camera during a batting practice session in Canberra, and the video capturing their interaction has been trending on social media.
Interestingly, this is not the first time Shakeel and Ahmed have been in the spotlight together. Previously, Ahmed humorously appealed for a “timed-out” dismissal against Shakeel during a match. In that incident, Shakeel managed to reach the crease in time, avoiding the unusual dismissal, much to the amusement of their teammates.
The Pakistan team, led by Shan Masood, is currently gearing up for the three-match series against Australia, starting at Perth’s Optus Stadium on December 14.
The series will proceed to the Melbourne Cricket Ground for the second match on December 26, followed by the final Test on January 3. With Pakistan’s track record of never having won a Test series in Australia, the team, under Masood’s leadership, aims to create history in the upcoming matches.
