Samsung has recently introduced its latest flagship smartphones: the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra. This launch marks what the company calls a “new era of mobile.” These devices, set for release on January 31, are equipped with innovative AI-powered features, placing Samsung at the cutting edge of the smartphone industry.
Galaxy AI: Enhancing User Experience
Central to the Galaxy S24 series is the Galaxy AI, a suite of artificial intelligence tools to enhance the user experience. Key features include real-time translation for voice calls and texts, a Chat Assist tool for message tone suggestions, and advanced note-taking and transcription tools. These tools can transcribe, translate, and summarize conversations into bullet points.
A notable addition is Google’s Circle to Search functionality, exclusive to the S24 series and Google Pixel 8. This feature enables users to search the web by circling, highlighting, or tapping items on their screen. It works within any app on the phone.
The AI enhancements are also evident in the camera capabilities, with new editing tools allow image recomposition and use generative AI to fill gaps when moving subjects in photos. Many AI features work on-device, ensuring privacy and offline accessibility.
James Kitto, Vice President and Head of the MX Division at Samsung Electronics UK, highlighted Samsung’s unparalleled capacity to deliver AI solutions at scale.
