Samsung unveiled its latest foldable lineup at Galaxy Unpacked 2025 on July 9 in New York City. The event introduced the Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, and the budget-friendly Galaxy Z Flip7 FE.
The Galaxy Z Fold7 redefines premium foldables. It weighs 215 grams and measures 8.9mm when folded and 4.2mm unfolded, making it Samsung’s thinnest and lightest yet. The 6.5-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X cover screen and 8-inch internal display hit 2,600 nits brightness for vivid visuals.
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, it features a 41% faster NPU, up to 16GB RAM, and 1TB storage. The 200MP wide camera, a first for foldables, pairs with ProVisual AI for enhanced low-light shots and adaptive framing. An under-display camera and multitasking tools boost productivity.
Galaxy AI integrates Live Translate, Note Assist, Transcript Assist, and a “Now Brief” feature for personalised summaries. Knox Vault ensures secure on-device or cloud processing. However, the S Pen digitiser was removed to achieve slimness, though a new S Pen is compatible. The 4,400mAh battery matches its predecessor.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 refines the clamshell design. Its 4.1-inch Super AMOLED FlexWindow, the largest yet, wraps around the cameras for unobstructed app and widget access. The 6.9-inch internal Dynamic AMOLED 2X display offers smooth visuals at 120Hz. The Exynos 2500 chipset ensures efficient performance.
A 4,300mAh battery delivers the longest life in Flip history, supporting 31 hours of video playback. The 50MP main camera and 12MP ultrawide lens optimise FlexCam for hands-free shooting. Gemini AI enables voice replies and smart summaries on the FlexWindow.
Galaxy Z Flip7 FE: Affordable Foldable Innovation
The Galaxy Z Flip7 FE targets new foldable users. Priced at $899-$999, it competes with the Motorola Razr 2025. It features a 6.7-inch main display, a 3.4-inch external screen, and a 50MP camera. The Exynos 2400e chipset with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage powers it. The 4,000mAh battery supports all-day use.
While lacking premium features like ultra-thin bezels, it includes Photo Assist and Gemini AI widgets. Its design mirrors the Z Flip6, offering familiarity at a lower cost.

Samsung pioneered foldables in 2019. Despite competition from Motorola, Honour, and Oppo, it holds strong. The Z Fold7 rivals Oppo’s Find N5 in slimness but sacrifices battery size. All devices run One UI 8 on Android 16, with six months of Google AI Pro included. Features like Circle to Search and Gemini Live enhance the user experience.
Pre-orders opened July 9, with global availability from July 25. In Pakistan, expect phased launches via authorised retailers. Prices vary by taxes and configurations: Z Fold7 ($1,999-$2,259), Z Flip7 ($1,099-$1,299), Z Flip7 FE ($899-$999). Pre-order perks include $50 credit and up to $1,150 trade-in savings.
