Samsung secured the top position in global foldable smartphone shipments despite a 1 per cent year-on-year (YoY) decline in the third quarter (Q3) of 2024.
According to Counterpoint Research. This marked the market’s first dip after six consecutive quarters of growth.
Global shipments fell mainly due to Samsung’s flagship models, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, underperforming. Nevertheless, Samsung maintained a dominant 56 percent market share, far outpacing its competitors.
