Renowned musician Salman Ahmed has calimed that law enforcement agencies have  approached him and informed him that he can be targeted by terrorists.

Ahmed while talking to media said “According to the police, I can be targeted over organizing anti-polio drives in the country”

Salman Ahmed defiantly said that he will face the threats and will not leave the country.

“Terror threats cannot scare me. I will stay in Pakistan,” he added.

Salman Ahmed is not the first Pakistani artist to comment on the security being provided to the artists in the country.

A group of around 60 singers, actors and models belonging to TV and film industry led by ex-chairman Sindh Censor Board Fakhr-e-Alam, approached Defence police station in Karachi on Saturday to submit a request demanding security for all the production houses owing to adverse law and order situation in the metropolis.

Eyebrows were raised on the law and order situation of the country especially Karachi when unknown persons shot dead renowned qawwal Amjad Sabri on 22nd June, 2016.

Recently television artist Nadeem Jafri was attacked by armed robbers in the wee hours of Thursday during a mugging attempt.
