Details of Narcotics Trade in Karachi
Senior Superintendent of Police Shoaib Memon highlighted the involvement of two major groups in Karachi’s narcotics trade. One group imports drugs from California, while the other distributes Iranian narcotics. The police’s crackdown has focused particularly on the group dealing with Iranian narcotics.
The recent arrests, including that of Sahir Hasan, have significantly disrupted the narcotics supply in Karachi, making drugs less accessible to users. Sahir Hasan further elaborated on this during his testimony, where he also implicated several businessmen, politicians, and others in the drug trade.
