Actress Ruchi Gujjar created a stir at the premiere of “So Long Valley” at Cinepolis Theatre in Mumbai, when she slapped producer Karan Singh Chauhan and hit director Man Singh with a sandal over an alleged fraud involving Rs 23 lakh.
During the screening of “So Long Valley”, Gujjar confronted Chauhan and Singh, accompanied by protestors holding placards that mocked the producers. Viral videos captured her shouting and hitting Singh with a sandal, which led to chaos. The protestors displayed posters with red crosses over the producers’ faces, with some images depicting them on donkeys.
Gujjar filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Chauhan on July 24 at the Oshiwara Police Station. Gujjar stated that payments from her company, SR Event and Entertainment, to Chauhan’s K Studios between July 2023 and January 2024 were redirected to So Long Valley. When she confronted him about this, Chauhan allegedly threatened her. The FIR includes sections 318(4), 352, and 353 (2) of the Indian Penal Code, concerning cheating and threats.
