The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has launched a new service that allows individuals to book and reschedule their driving test appointments using WhatsApp, enhancing the convenience of accessing RTA services.
This innovative service is provided through the RTA’s “Mahboub” Chatbot, reachable at (0588009090). It is part of RTA’s commitment to integrating services across various digital platforms for easy and secure user access. Customers can schedule driving tests, pay associated fees, and handle other transactions directly through the Chatbot. The system pre-authenticates users’ phone numbers and registered information, eliminating the need for the official application or RTA’s website.
Mira Ahmed Al Sheikh, Director of the Smart Services Department at RTA’s Corporate Technical Support Services Sector, highlighted the interactive nature of the service. Thanks to its continuous learning capability, the Chatbot is designed to effectively understand and respond to customer queries.
Enhancements in Chatbot Technology and Service Range
“Mahboub” supports Arabic and English, catering to a diverse audience. RTA continuously enhances the artificial intelligence behind “Mahboub” to improve its understanding of natural human languages and provide responses akin to human interaction. This includes ensuring data privacy and incorporating digital identity features for a more seamless customer experience.
The Chatbot offers over 250 informational and procedural services via WhatsApp. These range from paying public parking fees to inquiries about vehicle ownership renewal, introducing NOL card services, marine transportation services, and more, making it a comprehensive digital tool for RTA’s customers.
