Despite Al-Nassr’s 5-3 penalty shootout loss to Al-Ahli after a 2-2 draw, Cristiano Ronaldo etched his name further into football history by scoring his 100th competitive goal for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Super Cup final, becoming the first player to achieve 100 goals for four clubs: Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, and Al-Nassr across all formats.
Ronaldo, the 40-year-old five-time Ballon d’Or winner, netted his 100th goal for Al-Nassr in the 40th minute via a penalty, following a handball by Al-Ahli’s Ali Majrashi, per Goal.com. This achievement marks him as the first player to score 100 competitive goals for four clubs in all formats: Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, and Saudi Pro League, totalling 901 career goals. His records include 145 goals for Manchester United, 450 for Real Madrid, 101 for Juventus, and now 100 in 107 appearances for Al-Nassr.

Al-Nassr led after Ronaldo’s penalty, but Al-Ahli equalised in stoppage time through Franck Kessie, assisted by Enzo Millot. Marcelo Brozovic restored Al-Nassr’s lead in the 82nd minute, only for Roger Ibanez’s 89th-minute header from Riyad Mahrez’s corner to force penalties. Al-Ahli’s perfect shootout, with Edouard Mendy saving Abdullah Al Khaibari’s attempt, secured their second Super Cup title. The poor pitch and Sadio Mane’s absence hindered Al-Nassr’s play, yet Ronaldo’s milestone remained the focal point.

Ronaldo’s feat, achieved before 20,000 fans and 3 million streaming viewers, underscores Saudi Arabia’s $6 billion football investment. His back-to-back Saudi Pro League Golden Boots and global influence, with 1 billion social media followers, amplify the milestone’s reach. Al-Ahli’s win, their first Super Cup since 2016, boosts their 2025-26 season prospects, but Ronaldo’s historic achievement overshadows the result.
