Official documents have provided further clarity in the shocking murder case of Rob and Michele Reiner. The couple’s death certificates, obtained by TMZ, confirm the cause and manner of their deaths, offering a degree of closure to their surviving children.

According to the certificates, both Rob and Michele Reiner died from “multiple sharp force injuries.” The place of injury is listed as their own residence, with the weapon described as a “knife, by another.” The official manner of death for both is ruled a homicide.

The documents also note that both victims were cremated at Mount Sinai Mortuary. Their “place of final disposition” is recorded as the Los Angeles residence of their son, Jack Reiner.

For the surviving children, Romy and Jack Reiner, this legal documentation provides a painful but definitive conclusion to the circumstances of their parents’ deaths.

Rob and Michele Reiner died “minutes” after sustaining “multiple sharp force injuries,” the couple’s official death certificate confirms.

Their children, Jake and Romy, said a memorial service honoring their parents will be held “at a later date.”https://t.co/HMg5XU0mUR pic.twitter.com/QUAc7ad5H2

The accused, the couple’s son Nick Reiner, remains charged with two counts of first-degree murder. His arraignment is scheduled for January 7, 2026. No trial date has been set.

Reports suggest his defense is expected to consider an “insanity plea” at future hearings, referencing his known mental health history. While the death certificates finalise the medical and legal facts of the case, the judicial process is just beginning. The family’s search for closure now moves to the courtroom, where Nick Reiner’s fate will be determined.
