Karachi: The road barriers placed at 21 locations on entry points of Nine Zero, Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) headquarter, has been removed, Thursday.
On Wednesday, Rangers had alleged that Nine Zero was a ‘no-go’ area as all the roads leading to MQM-dominated area were blocked with barriers. The paramilitary force had also accused MQM of sheltering criminals in its stronghold.
In a latest development, the MQM workers voluntarily removed barriers from point at Mukka Chowk leading to Nine Zero.
According to some reports, MQM has also pulled out their volunteers from the entrance of Nine Zero.
Earlier during a press conference in a day, MQM leader Farooq Sattar had said the barriers were placed in Nine Zero for security reasons as terrorists had warned of launching attack in the area.
