The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will hold a high-level meeting today in Islamabad to review rigging allegations by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan and ex-ECP additional secretary Afzal Khan.

The meeting chaired by Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali will start at 2:00 pm today.

On Monday, Former ECP additional ‎secretary Afzal Khan made startling revelations about rigging in 2013 elections and ‎alleged that justice (r) Riaz Kayani and former chief justice Ifthikhar Chaudhry were responsible ‎for rigging in the elections‎.

Khan opened a Pandora’s Box by boldly claiming that people’s mandate was stolen in the ‎‎2013 elections, adding that Riaz Kayani was 90% responsible for in this illegal act. He alleged that Ifthikhar Chaudhry appointed returning officers instead of the ECP and ‎Tasaduq Hussian Jillani was part of the big game as well.‎

The former additional secretary rhetorically said that how Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar knew ‎that votes were unverifiable even though they were sealed.‎

Afzal Khan alleged that former chief election commissioner Fakhruddin G Ebrahim had ‎overlooked the colossal rigging on purpose, as he was terrified of ‎whistle blowing.
