The beloved children’s book character, Winnie-the-Pooh, often portrayed bears as lovers of sweet treats, and a recent event in Connecticut, United States, seems to validate this depiction.
In an amusing incident that could easily be mistaken for a scene from a children’s book, a black bear ventured into a local bakery and feasted an astonishing number of cupcakes, approximately 60.
Footage of the unexpected and delightful afternoon snack quickly circulated on social media.
Caught on camera, the bear sneaked into the bakery’s garage while the freshly baked goods were loaded into a delivery van.
The bear, clearly a confectionery connoisseur, helped himself to a handful of cupcakes. Despite being spotted by some employees, the bear scared them off and continued its sweet feast.
However, it didn’t stop at a few cupcakes. Instead, the bear returned to the garage, dragging out a box of baked goods and devouring every single one until additional employees arrived to chase him off.
The video ended with a bakery worker lowering the garage door, possibly to prevent future confectionery raids by our furry friend.
