Karachi: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to deploy the paramilitary Rangers inside and outside the polling stations of NA-246 on April 23.
According to the ECP, the decision has been taken in the wake of law and order situation in Karachi.
The head of the Rangers team during polling would be entitled to use magisterial powers, it said.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had demanded deployment of military troops or Rangers force on polling day in NA-246.
