Karachi: A restaurant owned by Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) MNA Ali Raza Abidi was raided by the Rangers on Thursday night.
Three people including a cousin of the MNA were taken into custody during the raid.
Ali Raza Abidi who was elected as an MNA from NA-250 was not present at the restaurant during the raid.
Following the raid MQM leaders Senator Nasreen Jalil and MNA Fouzia Hameed reached the restaurant.
The raid has been condemned by the Rabita Committee of the MQM and Altaf Hussain.
Later, Abidi’s cousin Hassan Raza was released early on Friday morning, sources said.
