Rana Sanaullah, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs, compared US President-elect Donald Trump and PTI founder Imran Khan.

During a segment on the ARY News program ‘Khabar Muhammad Malick Ke Saath’, Rana Sanaullah highlighted ‘similarities’ in their political tactics, including spreading falsehoods and attacking institutions.

“Both are notorious for their deceptive practices, ridiculing others, and engaging in unlawful activities to get their way,” Sanaullah commented. He pointed out an incident where Trump allegedly incited his followers to assault the White House.

Sanaullah clarified that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz’s congratulatory messages to Trump were merely diplomatic formalities.

When questioned about the possibility of the federal government releasing Imran Khan at the US’s behest, Sanaullah expressed scepticism about such a request from the US government.

“In my view, if Donald Trump desires, Imran Khan should be extradited to the US, allowing these two similar figures to collaborate. Should the US propose a trade involving Khan for the release of Aafia Siddiqui, the nation might consent,” Sanaullah proposed.
