The Punjab Education Department has announced the school timings for the upcoming Ramadan, applicable to all schools throughout the province.
Under the new schedule, schools will operate from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, classes will conclude earlier, at 12:30 PM, to accommodate the special requirements of Ramadan.
For schools that run in two shifts, the morning shift will operate from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM, and the afternoon shift will start from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Additionally, the department has made a provision for female students, allowing them to be dismissed 15 minutes before the official closing time to provide them with added convenience.
The timing adjustments coincide with the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee’s meeting in Peshawar on February 28, Friday, to sight the Ramadan moon. If the moon is sighted, Ramadan will begin on Saturday, March 1. However, both the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) and the Pakistan Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco) anticipate the start of fasting in Pakistan on March 2.
