Superstar Rajinikanth was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai late Monday night, according to hospital sources.
The actor has a heart-related procedure scheduled for Tuesday. His condition is reported to be stable currently, though no official statement has been released by either the hospital or Rajinikanth’s family.
The 76-year-old actor, known for his prolific career in Indian cinema, has been actively involved in filming two major projects. He recently returned to Chennai after working on “Vettaiyan,” directed by Gnanavel Raja, which is set for release on October 10, and “Coolie”, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
Rajinikanth, whose health has been a subject of public interest, underwent a kidney transplant in Singapore a decade ago. He has recently withdrawn from a highly anticipated political career, citing health concerns as the primary reason for his decision. This recent hospitalization has raised concerns among his fans and followers about his current health status.
