A bomb blast near the Frontier Corps (FC) headquarters in Quetta killed at least 10 people, including soldiers. It also injured 32, as confirmed by Balochistan Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar. The explosion occurred when a vehicle turned from Model Town towards Hali Road, as per Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Muhammad Baloch.
Kakar reported that eight bodies and 32 injured were taken to the Civil Hospital and the Trauma Centre. Six were in critical condition. An emergency was declared at Quetta’s hospitals, with all medical staff on duty. Security forces killed four terrorists in a swift response. Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti condemned the “terrorist attack” and vowed to ensure peace.

President Asif Ali Zardari called it a “suicide attack” by Fitna-al-Khawarij (TTP), alleging that India had an agenda. “The elements serving Fitna-al-Khawarij and India cannot undermine Pakistan’s stability,” he said, praising the security forces. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended the forces for eliminating “Fitna-al-Hindustan” terrorists, promising “exemplary punishment” for those threatening security.
