Craig Brown’s new biography, A Voyage Around The Queen, reveals that the late Queen Elizabeth II considered former U.S. President Donald Trump “very rude.”

The book details instances where the Queen expressed displeasure with Trump’s behaviour. She also speculated about the nature of Trump’s marriage to Melania, hinting at some form of agreement between the couple.

The release of these comments comes at a critical time, coinciding with the lead-up to the 2024 U.S. Presidential Elections, where Trump is a candidate.

In one account from the book, shortly after President Trump visited, the Queen told a lunch guest about her discomfort with his manners, particularly noting how he would look over her shoulder as if searching for someone more interesting to engage with.

“The Queen was so discreet…so for her to have made comments like this, I would find it quite remarkable.”

Claims of what Queen Elizabeth II really thought about Donald Trump are “quite extraordinary”, says @SarahHewsonTV.

These revelations have sparked reactions, including Trump, who vehemently denied the claims. In an interview with the Daily Mail, he praised his relationship with the Queen, describing her as “fantastic” and dismissing the author as a “sleaze bag.” Contrary to the claims, Trump asserted that he was a favourite of the Queen, a point he mentioned was well-known among their circles.
