Renowned Pakistani comedian Tariq Teddy has passed away in Lahore after a prolonged illness.
According to Tariq’s son, the actor has been receiving hospital treatment for liver and pulmonary problems for quite some time.
Tariq’s physician confirmed that the condition deteriorated as a liver infection worsened, and 70% of his organs ceased functioning.
Punjab’s chief minister, Pervez Elahi, announced that Tariq would receive free care following Tariq’s illness hit the mainstream media a few days ago.
In the 1990s, Tariq Teddy earned his reputation in commercial theatre.
