Authorities are actively searching for Saad Rizvi, who has become untraceable following a government crackdown on TLP protests in Lahore. The police have registered a case at Rawat Police Station in Rawalpindi against Rizvi and several TLP leaders.
Sub-Inspector Najeeb Ullah filed the FIR, which includes anti-terror clauses. Officials said the case will move forward based on evidence gathered from the Punjab Police raid Saad Rizvi conducted last week.
Earlier, TLP’s planned march to Islamabad turned violent. The clashes left 40 vehicles burnt, several shops damaged, and 48 police officers injured, including 17 with gunshot wounds.
Authorities confirmed three TLP members and one bystander died during the unrest, while 30 civilians sustained injuries. Punjab Police said they will continue their investigation to ensure accountability and restore peace in Punjab.
